Altura executive condo 88% sold in second-timer balloting

Demand for Altura executive condo (EC) in Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 in Singapore was strong, with 95 units sold during the balloting period on Sept 16, taking the take-up rate to 87.5%. The average price of these units was $1,470 psf.
Ismail Gafoor, PropNex CEO, believes the demand for Altura was not unexpected, citing the fact that ECs are a great option for HDB upgraders as they offer more affordability and potential for capital appreciation. He commented that buyers may be eager to move due to the recent land tender, which saw EC land rate hitting record-high.
Altura, which consists of 360 units, has 45 units remaining. Most are four- and five-bedroom plus flexi configurations. It is the first EC to be launched in Bukit Batok since 2001 and has been welcomed by first-time buyers. The EC is located near the future Tengah Integrated Transport Hub and Anglo-Chinese Primary School.
Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Asia, noted the robust demand for ECs due to the upfront stamp duty remission given to buyers.
