Ums Holdings Acquires Industrial Land Penang Rm152 Mil
UMS Holdings, a Singapore-based company, has recently made an acquisition in Penang, Malaysia. On July 1, the group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions, invested RM15.23 million in a 60-year leasehold industrial land measuring 5.38 acres (2.18ha). This translates to approximately $4.5 million in USD.
The industrial land, strategically located between the Perai Industrial Area and Batu Kawan Industrial Park, spans a total of 235,000 square feet. This latest addition to their portfolio brings their combined space in Singapore and Malaysia to over 1.2 million square feet.
According to Andy Luong, UMS Holdings’ chairman and CEO, the newly acquired land is located next to their current factory in Penang. It will be utilized to support the expansion of their operations. UMS Holdings is a company specializing in the manufacturing of semiconductor components.
