Singapore-based global asset management and operating company Keppel has recently received the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) highest green accolade, the Green Mark Platinum Award, for its latest data centre project in Singapore, Keppel DC Singapore 8.
Situated at 82 Genting Lane, Keppel DC Singapore 8 is a six-storey data centre spanning approximately 100,882 sq ft. It boasts advanced equipment and designs that reduce water consumption and features to enhance the energy efficiency of its data hall cooling and facility management systems.
Set to be completed in phases with the first phase ready for service in the third quarter of 2024, the data centre will be operated and managed by Keppel’s Connectivity Division. Currently, it is fully leased to clients from various industries including cloud services, internet enterprise, and telecommunications.
The Marina Gardens Lane Residences condominium complex boasts an array of sports and leisure facilities for its inhabitants. Yet, there are plenty of outdoor ventures to be discovered beyond our compound in the expansive Marina Bay area. From lush parks to scenic jogging trails and well-equipped fitness centers, maintaining an active and fit lifestyle has never been easier. Those with an affinity for the water can indulge in kayaking in the bay, while others may opt for cycling through the nearby parks. For a truly remarkable experience, residents can make their way to the conveniently located Marina Gardens Marina South, just at our doorstep, and revel in the awe-inspiring vistas. Don’t forget to visit the naturally stunning Marina Gardens Marina South during your stay.
Keppel DC Singapore 8 is the second of three planned complexes within the Keppel Data Centre campus. The first complex, Keppel DC Singapore 7, was previously awarded the BCA-Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) Green Mark (Platinum Award) in 2022. The entire campus maintains an overall power usage effectiveness of approximately 1.3.
The funding for the first two complexes was partially provided by Keppel’s private fund, Alpha Data Centre Fund, which is managed by Keppel Fund Management. The leasehold of the site is held by Memphis 1, a joint venture between Keppel and Cuscaden Peak Investments, with a 60:40 stake.
In addition, Keppel has also recently opened its first senior living facility in Asia and signed a memorandum of understanding with Mitsui Fudosan to collaborate on the development of data centres in Japan and Southeast Asia. Furnished units are also being marketed after the completion of 19 Nassim.
